The Job Hop Terms and Conditions for Services

Terms of Use of Products or Services

By entering, viewing pages, and / or using our website and / or becoming a client of The Job Hop, you agree to be bound by this agreement regardless of whether or not specific action is taken on your part to constitute agreement.

Pricing and Services

By using our products and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted our pricing and services. Please see our Pricing & Services Menu for details about pricing. Of course, our prices are listed in US dollars. You also agree that the normal turnaround time for resume projects is 7-14 business days following our formal, scheduled telephone consultation. You agree that The Job Hop is under no obligation to deliver your resume prior to the 7-14 business day timeframe. If you require rush service, which is defined as any time sooner than the stated timeframe above, additional fees will apply.

Proofreading and Accuracy

You are responsible for career documents' completeness and accuracy, and for proofreading. We are not liable for any injury or damage caused by errors, omissions, false statements, or other inaccuracies.

Revisions

You must review all career documents and notify us of any needed corrections within 7 days of the date draft copy was e-mailed to you. If you wish to make revisions thereafter, you will be charged at a $75 Late Revision Fee.

Furthermore, while we acknowledge that seeking additional input and recommendations from outside sources (friends, peers, supervisors, family members, recruiters, and other resume writers or career advisers, etc.) can be beneficial to you, we ask that you do not use these resources for project revisions. Our process is a collaboration between you and The Job Hop and you are hiring us for our expertise. Upon completion of the project, you will receive editable Source Documents and can make any subsequent changes per external recommendations as you’d like.

Unless explicitly stated or agreed upon in advance, you will be entitled to no more than three revisions per order, depending on the service you purchase. Not all services are subject to revisions, and you are expected to review your proposal and services outline prior to making any purchase. All primary edit and revision requests should be made in the first revision (following receipt of the first drafts). Subsequent revisions should be minor.

Consultation and Follow-up Calls

Unless otherwise noted at the time of your initial order, all clients will receive a complimentary, 20-minute initial consultation call. All additional calls are subject to a minimum charge of $25 for 15 minutes or $100 per hour.

Clients who are more than 5 minutes late to a scheduled call may be asked to reschedule and will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Please notify The Job Hop at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule a call.

Communication

Clients are entitled to an initial 20-minute consultation call at the start of a project. All subsequent communications will take place via e-mail unless otherwise noted or requested. Additional calls will be subject to a minimum charge of $25 for 15 minutes or $100 per hour.

Payment

You will be invoiced for services in two parts: the first half of the total cost up front and the remaining half upon completion of services. Work on your order will not begin until after receipt of initial payment and Source Documents will not be shared with you until after receipt of final payment. All drafts will be shared in .PDF formats.

Once you have paid for your services, set an appointment, received our resume development questions (we track all email and telephone conversations), and / or purchased downloadable templates, there will be no refunds. You acknowledge that our time spent reviewing initial documents, and / or preparing for and conducting client interviews, and / or communicating with you, and / or preparing resumes and other documents, and / or providing all other products and services, is compensable.

Cancellation, Chargeback Fees, & Refusal of Service

By purchasing our services, you agree that time is of the essence and that you expressly acknowledge and waive your right to cancel this Agreement or request a chargeback from your credit card company under laws governing the State of California or applicable State, whichever is more stringent. Clients who attempt to cancel their payment will be immediately charged a $100 cancellation or chargeback fee, in addition to any legal fees incurred by The Job Hop, as well as time spent preparing documentation, appearances in court, or responding to chargeback requests at $100 per hour, with a minimum charge of $100.

Time beyond the first hour will be rounded up to the nearest 1/4 hour. The Job Hop will not be liable for any monetary compensation or attorney fees if a legal dispute arises. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone or to cancel service to anyone.

Services & Recommendations

All services and recommendations provided by The Job Hop are to be taken as suggestions and are not binding in any way. You are in no way expected to follow every suggestion or recommendation if you do not agree or feel comfortable. The Job Hop is not to be held liable for any issues or negative outcomes that may arise as a result of our services or recommendations.

We provide your career documents in Microsoft Word 2013 format. We cannot otherwise guarantee the compatibility of files with your systems or that documents will retain their original formatting features. We may keep electronic or paper copies of documents indefinitely.
